ALTC Roundtable: an Event to Support ALTC Grant Applicants

Purpose:

To disseminate information about past/current project outcomes, and to offer casual peer review of application ideas.

The program will include:

• The following presentations:
  
  
  • ALTC Grant Schemes Overview
    Associate Professor Peter Hutchings, Acting Director of ALTC Grants, Awards & Fellowships
    

 

• National Teaching Fellowship
  Professor Peter Goodyear, University of Sydney
  
  
• Discipline and Competitive Grants, plus Experience from Reviewing
  Dr. Will Rifkin, UNSW
  
  
• Associate/Teaching Fellowships - Outcomes and Advice
  Professors Jenny Edwards and Cynthia Mitchell, UTS
  

 

• Advice on Dissemination from the D-cubed Project
  Dr. Tilly Hinton, University of Sunshine Coast
  







• Casual peer review sessions of ideas for ALTC applications in all categories (e.g., leadership, fellowship, competitive)

• Opportunity to meet past/ existing grant holders and people interested in applying in the future.
  

Suitability:

This event would be suitable for academics of any discipline and from any university who are or will be in the process of applying for an ALTC grant.

Numbers are limited, so it will be necessary to register for this free event, which is supported by the UNSW ALTC Promoting Excellence Initiative and the ALTC Fellow Alumni.

Afternoon tea will be provided.

Dinner

There will also be an opportunity to join participants for drinks and dinner (self-funded) at Chaopraya Restaurant in Randwick
(10 min walk from UNSW; 33 Perouse Road, Randwick, NSW 2031).
