Educational Digital Media Support and Equipment / Studio Booking

Educational media refers to multimodal resources designed to engage and assist students in the learning process. Students are also being encouraged to produce their own media projects to demonstrate their understanding of course concepts.
The educational media team within the PVCE portfolio can provide advice on technologies, applications and equipment that enable academic staff to design, develop and integrate digital media resources into a course of study. We can assist in media production for teaching purposes and have professional facilities that are available for this purpose.
We loan audio-visual equipment such as cameras, lights, microphones and audio recorders. Our facilities include a media studio for staff to create digital resources with support from the media team.  This room is equipped with a Lightboard for capturing illustrated presentations, a Wacom tablet for screencasting presentations and a green screen for video presentations.

Use the online form to borrow media equipment.

There are online resources available in the mediaUcreate course (Self Enrolment Key: unsw) designed to give an overview of how to get started with developing educational media resources. Watch the introductory video here.
Please contact Brian Landrigan (Educational Media Manager)  x51481 or Carlos Dominguez (Educational Media Developer) x52932 to find out more about how the educational media team within the PVCE portfolio can help.
